Grazie alla scheda accensione e modulazione la caldaia è in grado di accendersi e alzare e abbassare la fiamma del bruciatore per fornire l'acqua alla giusta temperatura. Se la scheda elettronica caldaia o scaldabagno è rotta la caldaia non parte e va sostituita.
